Wolds & Howardian Hills

To the South of the North York Moors and to the North of the M62 lies a rolling landscape, rich in history, picture perfect villages and acres of agricultural land. This is a land where you feel it would be good to live, gentler than the Moors but full of interest, old abbeys and grand country houses compete for attention whilst the dry chalk valleys and rolling hills offer a unique landscape.

The walks described are circular but the areas is criss crossed by a number of well waymarked long distance trails, I think we will hear a lot more about the Yorkshire Wolds in the future.
