The Plough at Wigglesworth

April 3, 2014
  • Recently refurbished 18th century coaching inn
  • Located near the Yorkshire 3 Peaks
  • Walk from the door in to Long Preston deeps

With two of the 3 Peaks clearly in view from the Plough at Wigglesworth it is splendidly situated for visits to both the Yorkshire Dales and the excellent walking of the Forest of Bowland. Walkers are spoilt for choice with the RSPB Long Preston Deeps wetland project on the doorstep, Grisedale Forest a few miles further whilst the limestone escarpments of this corner of the Dales offers some of the best walking in the park.

Returning to the Plough after a day out is a real pleasure, the Georgian coaching inn being recently refurbished to a high standard. The bar and restaurant offer a relaxing place to unwind, the bedrooms are superb and the roaring fire is tempting for anyone during our longer winter nights. I can heartily recommend it.
