Derwentwater walk Use the excellent ferry service to enjoy this Derwentwater walk without having to walk the 4 miles return from Keswick. The paths pick their way amongst the trees on the shoreline and the views over the lake are always interesting. It is the best part of Derwentwater and very straightforward. Walking the High Street Ridge Walking the full High Street Ridge from Troutbeck to Pooley Bridge There are only two continuously high ridges that link the north and south of the Lake District. Buttermere to Keswick walk To complete the one way Buttermere to Keswick walk via Newlands take the bus to Buttermere. Seatoller to Keswick walk There are a few options, both low and high level, on the one way walk between Seatoller to Keswick. Take the bus from Keswick and start at Seatoller for an excellent day out. The Walk There are three alternatives on the one way walk from Seatoller to Borrowdale. Kendal to Windermere walk The best walk from Kendal to Windermere is via the Dales Way long Distance footpath. Grasmere to Ambleside via Loughrigg Fell Take the one way walk from Grasmere to Ambleside via one of two routes. Coniston to Ambleside via Tarn Hows The one way walk from Coniston to Ambleside passes through some lovely Lakeland countryside. In particular Tarn Howes and Loughrigg Tarn are beautiful and relaxing places. Kirkstone Pass to Threlkeld Kirkstone Pass to Threlkeld passes over the the full spine of the Helvellyn Range taking in 14 Wainwrights. Threlkeld to Keswick walk The one way Threlkeld to Keswick walk follows the disused railway line alongside the River Greta via a series of bridges. The woods are the home to red squirrels. Bassenthwaite to Threlkeld The area to the north of Skiddaw is a wonderful place to walk.
