The George & Dragon is a high quality, 4* old coaching inn situated in the centre of the lovely village of Dent. The inn itself is full of character, with 2 dining areas serving excellent meals, a bar with local ales and 10 ensuite bedrooms. It is the ideal base to explore the lovely, and often neglected, Dentdale which has many excellent walking opportunities including along the river and, for the more energetic, a stiff climb up the highest fell in Yorkshire, Whernside. Dent itself is almost completely unspoilt with cobbled streets, interesting shops and a fantastic church in its centre.
