Any visit to Thornton Lodge will be a memorable occasion. Situated in the heart of Wensleydale next to the hamlet of Thornton Rust  its is easy to visit some of the most famous places in the Dales, Aysgarth Falls, Castle Bolton, beautiful Semer Water and the pretty little town of Hawes. However it is the Lodge itself which will make the stay memorable; Vanessa and her team have gone out of their way to furbish this grand old building with style and character.

The 9 bedrooms are all beautifully presented but offer a choice of 4 poster beds, a suite, more traditional doubles and I am delighted to say an accessible room for less mobile guests. Away from the bedrooms there is a dining room, a lounge with lovely views and fantastic grounds to wander around and enjoy.

During the winter months it is possible to hire Thornton Lodge exclusively for groups, corporate events and parties – an ideal choice for £1350 bed and breakfast.
