Keld to Reeth walk Take the bus in to Upper Swaledale and return via a walk from Keld to Reeth. Initially start beside the embryonic River Swale but then take to the moors where there are many reminders of the areas industrial past. Buckden to Grassington walk Take the bus from Buckden to Grassington and walk back by following the River Wharfe to Kettlewell. From Kettlewell it climbs on to the ridge of Great Whernside amongst beautiful limestone scenery and views. Grassington to Skipton walk Take the bus from Skipton and then return over the moors on a one way walk from Grassington to Skipton. On either side of the bleak moors are the villages of Linton, Thorpe and Embsay. The Walk Embsay Moor can be particularly bleak in bad weather. Garsdale to Kirkby Stephen walk Take the train along Mallerstang and walk from Garsdale to Kirkby Stephen. There are two options on the walk. The high one goes over Wild Boar Fell, the lower one along the embryonic River Eden. The Walk Remote, wild and exceptionally beautiful and that describes only the lowland route through Mallerstang! Ribblehead to Horton via Ingleborough Take the train from Horton and then walk from Ribblehead to Horton via Ingleborough. The path over Park Fell and Simon Fell is rarely used although the descent from Ingleborough to Horton is extremely popular. Middleham to Masham walk Take the bus from Masham and walk the return from Middleham to Masham. Middleham is a beautiful village. Askrigg to Leyburn walk Take the bus from Askrigg to Leyburn and walk back along the River Ure enjoying the many sights of Wensleydale. Aysgarth Falls and Castle Bolton are just two of the many highlights. The Walk There is so much to see in Wensleydale that the biggest challenge is to filter the best from the rest. Horton to Settle walk There are many alternatives in this one way walk from Horton to Settle. A high level route via Pen-y-Ghent or a riverside stroll along the River Ribble give two. There is a third which heads west towards Feizor. The Walk Practically any walk from the lovely Settle to Carlisle railway is worthwhile.
